Why I built ReceiptLog

Hi, I'm Warren.

I built ReceiptLog for my wife, who runs a reflexology practice. She just wanted a simple way to send proper receipts to clients.

Most of the tools we looked at were either expensive, overly complicated, or designed for full accounting rather than quick receipts.

So I built a small tool that did exactly what she needed. Create a receipt, send it to the client, and keep a record for tax time.

It worked well, then her friends started using it, then their friends.

So I decided to make it available to other small businesses who might have the same problem.

  • Your Logo

    Upload your business logo directly in the app, or simply email it to logos@receiptlog.app. It appears in the header of every receipt.

  • Business Details

    Add your business name, address, phone, email, and website. All displayed professionally on your receipts.

  • Brand Colours

    Choose from 8 colour presets or set your own primary colour. Your brand colour is used for headings, dividers, and totals.

  • Footer & Notes

    Add a custom footer (payment terms, thank you message) and a standard note (credentials, registration numbers) that appears on every receipt.

  • Receipt Numbering

    Choose your numbering format: daily prefix (260302-001), year prefix (2026-001), year-month, or continuous. Set your own starting number.

  • Currency & VAT

    Select from 10 currencies or add your own. If you're VAT registered, configure your VAT number and default rate.

How to Install

  1. Open Safari and go to app.receiptlog.app (must be Safari - Chrome and other browsers won't work)
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Tap "Add" in the top right corner
  5. ReceiptLog will now appear on your home screen like any other app!

How is my data protected?

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase with industry-standard encryption. Only you can access your receipts and client information. We never share or sell your data.

What if I'm not VAT registered?

No problem at all. Simply leave the VAT option turned off in your settings, and your receipts won't show any VAT information.

What currencies are supported?

Currently we support Euro (EUR), British Pound (GBP), and US Dollar (USD). You can change your currency in the settings.

Can I customise my receipt numbers?

Yes. You can choose from four receipt numbering formats: year prefix (2026-001), year suffix (001-2026), plain yearly (resets each year), or plain continuous.

ReceiptLog is a small side project from my software company, GBA Solutions.

We originally built it for a family business and decided to make it available to others who might find it useful.
