Anatomy of a Receipt
Every element of your receipt is customisable. Toggle between a simple receipt and one with VAT & quantities to see the full range of options.
Receipt Header Auto
The "Receipt" title uses your primary brand colour. This creates a professional, consistent look across all your receipts.
Your Logo Optional
Upload your business logo in Settings or email it to logos@receiptlog.app. It appears in the top-right corner for instant brand recognition.
Business Name
Your practice or business name appears prominently. Set this in Settings under Profile Details.
Contact Details Optional
Phone, email, and website are displayed if you've added them. Clients can easily reach you or visit your website.
Date & Receipt Number
The date and a unique receipt number. Choose from 7 numbering formats including daily prefix (260304-001), year prefix, or continuous numbering.
Customer Name
Your client's name from your client database. Build your client list as you go - they're saved for quick selection next time.
Line Items
Services you've provided, with quantity and price. Add your services once in Settings, then select them when creating receipts. You can also add custom items.
Total Amount
The total with your chosen currency symbol. Supports EUR, GBP, USD, and 7 more currencies - or add your own custom currency.
Standard Note Optional
Perfect for credentials, registration numbers, or qualifications. This appears on every receipt automatically. Set it once in Settings.
Receipt Footer Optional
A custom message at the bottom of every receipt. Use it for thank you messages, payment terms, or any other standard text.

When VAT is enabled, each line item shows its VAT rate. Configure your default rate in Settings, or set different rates per service.
VAT Breakdown
The totals section shows Subtotal (net), VAT amount, and Total (gross). This professional breakdown meets tax compliance requirements.
